well, as much as i don't want to do it, i believe that it is best
that i take some time off. i have become very sick with life in
general. with all the stress that has been building up, i can no
longer concentrate on the things i care most for. my performance at
home has been laking and at work as well. as much as i do love
letterboxing, for me to continue, i have to take life one step at a
time and work to solve the issues that plague me right now. i'm
sorry if i have said anything in the past to change anyones view of
me. i may have done some good things, but with the way i have been
feeling, i feel that i have done more harm than good. i don't feel
that i can do anything right and with every waking day, i believe
that things are ever increasingly getting worse.
depression is something i seemed to have been able to take a old of
and push aside. from time to time, it tries to edge its way into my
life and i do the best to make sure it doesn't happen. sometime i
have failed and sometimes i am successful. this time i am not doing
that hot. letterboxing brought me to a new world. i thought that i
could go out and box and use the time as a way to think and refresh
my mind. unfortunately, letterboxing has become some of the problem.
i relied on it to much as a get away. i would spend to much time
carving or hunting, and not enough time doing anything else.
just so there is no worry, i will be keeping up with the status of
all my boxes. if need be, i will check on any box that there seems
to be a problem with so that no one will look for a unmantained box.
it has been nice to meet a lot of people. i just wanted to let
everyone know that i will miss my time here and look forward to
coming back and boxing another day. thank you for opening your
hearts and your lives and excepting me as one of you.

I have had seruous problems with depression, especailly lately,
actually Letterboxing as helped by meeting other people. A big problem
with depression is isolating your self from other people.
I feel the same way i think you feel, that people don't like me,
jut from what i write and or meeting me for a short time.
If i can do anything....Please let me know!!
I know whats its like---and its not fun

David,
I hope you will be able to get a handle on your depression. It sounds
as if it has been sinking fairly deep for you. That can be so
discouraging and make the world feel quite bleak sometimes. I hope
you don't give up on all the stuff that has brought you joy. That
doesn't sound like a great solution. Moderation is always good.
Depression tends to make everything seem so black and white.
Know that we are cheering you on and our thoughts will be with you. I
hope you will be able to gain the upper hand in this next battle.
With concern,
Cadenza

David
Take the time you need to get the upper hand on your depression. If there is
anything we can do, please let us know. While we do not suffer from
depression, we do know that when our schedules get too crazy or life comes
at us full tilt, it's better to back off from activities, get back to family
and job basics and heal. Rest assured that letterboxing will be here when
you are feeling better.
We'll be waiting for you when you return,
Mark & Sue

David, as a doctor, my advice would be to drink heavily.
